China’s National Health Commission reported on Saturday, Feb. 22 that they had seen a significant drop in the number of cases of COVID-19, with a daily count of 397, down from 889 a day earlier.
It also reported 109 new deaths from the virus, all but three of which occurred in the Hubei Province, the epicentre of the outbreak.
