U.S. President Donald Trump spoke out on Thursday in support of his former advisor, Roger Stone, after he was sentenced to 40 months in prison. Trump claimed Stone had a “very good chance of being exonerated” before launching into a tirade about the Jury forewoman in the trial, calling her “tainted.” it is not clear if Trump was aware that Stone had been sentenced to 40 months in federal prison earlier that day.
