Conservative MP for Carleton, Ont., Pierre Polievre said during Thursday’s Question Period in the House of Commons that the nation-wide railway blockades are not about the Coastal GasLink pipeline, saying the project “is not even controversial” in his opinion. Bill Blair, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness said in response that reconciliation with Indigenous peoples remains a priority and they’re working on solutions to the problem.
