Dr. Tom Bell spent 42 years as a family doctor and is a retired Adjunct Professor of Family Medicine, Queens University. His work with CMHA and the Cannabis and Youth Clinical Information Team led him to write a book for parents and caregivers, particularly in light of the legalization of marijuana. “Cannabis and Kids” is about the long-lasting and in some cases permanent effects of cannabis on developing brains. In discussing Cannabis and Kids: A Primer on Pot for Parents and Caregivers, we look at how long the brain’s development phase lasts.
