Assembly of First Nations Chief Perry Bellegarde said the Wet’suwet’en First Nation made three “simple” requests: that RCMP be out of their traditional territories, that “industry players” look at options, and that there is formalization of the “process with the Crown.” Bellegarde also said that he hopes once it is formalized that time is given “to bear fruit” through positive discussions.
