Boston Chinatown businesses feel impact from stigma surrounding COVID-19 outbreak

As the dim sum cart made its way around the China Pearl restaurant in Boston, every table was packed — a welcomed change for many restaurants, bakeries and businesses in the city’s Chinatown. Many business in the area have experienced a heavy drop in sales due to fears of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) spreading and the stigma surrounding it, as it originated in Wuhan, China.
