Lebanon protesters clash with security, demand elections ahead of confidence vote

Security forces fired tear gas and water cannons at protesters in Beirut on Tuesday as the Lebanese parliament convened to hold a vote of confidence on the new government. Hundreds of protesters tried to block MPs from reaching the parliamentary building, causing security forces to block off all roads leading to the barricaded parliament district.
