This week Harrison highlights:
– De.Kor: A new East City specialty shop with a focus on lighting. Karen LaRiviere’s business also offers decorative furniture accessories, area carpets, throws and more.
– Shakers Diner: A new homestyle cooking restaurant in Lakefield which owner Rebecca Shakespear and her mother Lynne recently moved from Bobcaygeon to Lakefield. Located in the former Debbie’s Restaurant.

Nutritionistjane: Holistic nutritionist Jane Bischoff’s company moved from Toronto to Peterborough to help with ulcerative colitis, crohns, and other digestive issues, and specializes in helping those on the autism spectrum.

Office, clinic space: Dr. Jeff Lustig has some office space available for rent within his Active Chiropractic and Wellness Centre at 401 McDonnel Street.

Veterans, first responders: Veteran Ron LaChapelle is putting together a series of special evenings at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 52 on Lansdowne Street on Feb. 25 and March 31 to meet some like-minded people, and maybe even win some Leafs tickets. There is no charge, just show up at the Legion anytime after 7 p.m.
