One man was taken to hospital after his vehicle ended up in the Otonabee River in Peterborough tonight.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on Armour Road, south of Defoe Drive around 8:15 p.m. where they found the driver sitting in a passerby’s vehicle to keep warm.
The vehicle reportedly ended up on its roof, fully submerged and has since floated several hundred feet from where it went into the water.
Paramedic officials on scene confirmed the man, who they describe as middle-aged, was transported to hospital.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
