As millions of Chinese people are set to return to work, officials say the death toll for the novel coronavirus surpassed that of SARS in 2002-03, with more than 800 being reported dead. China extended the Lunar New Year break for millions as the reported cases and number of deaths increased, but many are set to head back into the office while other white collar workers will be working from home.
