On Friday, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland said that getting the Trans Mountain pipeline built is of “national interest” due to the importance of getting Canada’s natural resources to market. She added that Canada’s economic relationship with the U.S. is “productive” and of “great benefit” to Canada, while diversifying its relationships with markets worldwide.
