Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada David Lametti spoke with media on Tuesday to discuss the tabling of Bill C-5, which would require federal judges to undergo mandatory training on sexual assault law. Lametti said the bill is designed to “strengthen training requirements” and to provide judges with “insight into the myths and stereotypes” surrounding sexual assaults.
