A poll conducted by Ipsos exclusively for Global News has found just over half of Canadians feel Canada should end its formal ties with the British monarchy when Queen Elizabeth II dies. The poll also found while over 81 per cent say the Queen has done a good job as monarch, 62 per cent feel the family should not have a formal role in Canadian society.
