CLARIFICATION Feb. 18, 2020
We want to clarify a story we brought you January 31 about BWXT’s proposal to get authorization to begin pelleting operations at its Peterborough facility.
BWXT does not have any form of authorization yet – preliminary or otherwise – to proceed with pelleting operations in peterborough at this time.
The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission will render its decision on BWXT’s application only after the public hearing to be held in Toronto on March 2 and 3, and in Peterborough on March 4, 5 and 6.
We want to apologize for any misunderstanding this caused.
