About 6,000 people were stuck aboard the Italian cruise ship Costa Smeralda at Civitavecchia, northwest of Rome, on Jan. 30 after two Chinese passengers were investigated for being ill with the novel coronavirus. One of the passengers showed possible symptoms of the virus.
