U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday proposed the creation of a Palestinian state with a capital in Eastern Jerusalem and said, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu standing next to him, that Israel had released a map “illustrating the territorial compromises” it would be willing to accept.
