Health minister confirms first case of coronavirus in Canada, says still no cause for alarm

With a second presumptive case of the novel coronavirus in Canada, federal Health Minister Patty Hajdu says there is no reason for Canadians to be alarmed. Hajdu told the House of Commons today that while there is no vaccine yet available for the illness, scientists do know the makeup of the virus and are working on one with international health experts.
