New South Wales river flows again after town suffered ‘intense drought’

The long-dry Peel River in regional New South Wales began flowing again on Saturday after widespread rainfall. The river feeds the water supply for the nearby town of Tamworth, which officials said was classified as suffering from “intense drought.”
