New York City is ready to respond to the new coronavirus from Wuhan, China “sooner rather than later” said Mayor Bill de Blasio on Friday. While de Blasio and the city’s health director reiterated that no New Yorkers are suspected to have the virus to date, he said the sheer speed of the virus’ spread has health officials taking the threat seriously.
