Newfoundland blizzard has many residents snowed in, cars buried by snow drifts

A storm that battered the eastern part of Newfoundland on Friday had many residents snowed in, with cars buried by snow drifts and residential streets completely covered mounds of snow. The blizzard caused St. John’s to declare a state of emergency.
