Forensics expert says downed Ukrainian airliner in Iran shows signs of impact with object, fire

In an interview distributed by the government of Ukraine, Oleksandr Ruvin, director of Kyiv’s Forensic Research Institute at the Ukraine Ministry of Justice, said that upon investigating the site of the Ukrainian airliner that fatally crashed in Tehran on Jan. 8, there appears to be signs of a fire in what was the cockpit, and impact of another object, perhaps a rocket. An investigation of the crash site remains ongoing.
