A pedestrian was rushed to hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Cobourg on Saturday night.
Cobourg Police Service say the incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. on William Street, just south of University Avenue West.
An off-duty paramedic – who happened to be nearby – performed CPR until emergency crews arrived, police said.
Police say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
The pedestrian’s condition is not yet known.
