Iranians protest in Tehran at UK embassy calling for its closure following brief arrest of British envoy

Iranians protested in Tehran outside the U.K. embassy on Sunday, demanding it be closed. The demonstrations came after the country’s ambassador to Iran, Rob Macaire, was briefly detained on Saturday. Iranian media alleged he was inciting protests, but the envoy said he had attended a vigil for plane crash victims.
