During a news conference on Tuesday, Brian Hook, U.S. Special Representative for Iran and Senior Policy Advisor to the Secretary of State, said that Qassem Soleimani was responsible for the murder of thousands of Iranians, including the deaths of 1500 people during protests in Iran. Soleimani was killed by a targeted U.S. airstrike in Baghdad, Iraq last week.
