Skies over Merimbula Beach in New South Wales, Australia, turned bright red on Monday as an out-of-control bushfire continued to burn, threatening coastal communities and forcing evacuations. Piles of black ash also stretched across the beach, brought in by the tide. As of Monday, 150 fires were burning across the state, with around 60 not contained.
