Children delivered gifts to senior citizens at Les Pavillons residence in LaSalle on Monday as a part of a “be a Santa to a senior” initiative. The idea was launched by Kirkland resident Alanna Edwards early this Christmas season where she invited shoppers at West Island stores to adopt a senior citizen living in residence. Her hope was to gather 200 gifts but ended up with nearly double that amount.
