Strikes organized by transport unions continued across France on Dec. 23, causing severe disruption for those traveling ahead of the Christmas holiday, including at Paris’ Gare de Lyon train station. French President Emmanuel Macron appealed to unions to suspend strikes over the holidays after talks between the government and unions failed to ease the standoff.
