U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said on Tuesday that he expects a “highly partisan outcome” in the potential Senate impeachment trial in the new year, should Trump be impeached by the House of Representatives. He also said what senators like himself had felt 20 years ago during the Clinton impeachment may “not be the same as today.”
