Three people were taken to hospital with minor injuries after several vehicles struck a tire on Hwy. 401 in Port Hope on Monday night.
At the scene, the rear wheel from a commercial vehicle was found in the middle of the lanes. A SUV with a man, woman and dog was on its roof.
