Conservative MP for Carleton, Ont, Pierre Poilievre said on Friday’s question period at the House of Commons that he asked the finance minister to provide a fall economic update, and claimed that this request was denied. Minister of Middle Class Prosperity and Associate Minister of Finance Mona Fortier replied that Conservatives’ economic plans focus too much on cuts and that “criticizing the state of Canada’s economy” does not count as an economic plan.
