In response to a Global News report that Canadian leaders had been targeted in a recent “cyber influence campaign”, Public Safety Minister Bill Blair said Tuesday they were “very concerned” about foreign influence in all public institutions and were working to ensure Canadians are taking steps necessary to protect their privacy. He also said they had a “robust” response to cyber attacks, including conducting investigations.
