Racism in hockey: Father says ‘bigger picture’ was missed in OMHA suspension

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association has handed down a seven-game suspension to a player who made racist remarks towards 17-year-old Zach Sukumaran of the Millbrook Stars during a game at the Cavan Monaghan Community Centre last month.

But Zach’s father says the OMHA missed an opportunity to address the more important issue of racism in the sport.
