Peterborough City Council is expected to vote Monday on whether or not the former United Canadian Malt building, in Peterborough, should be considered a heritage building. David and J.R. McGee purchased the site with plans to build apartments and demolition has already begun, but now a recommendation is before council to grant the building heritage designation – preserving the 1931 facility. Global Peterborough’s Teresa Kaszuba has more with Peterborough City Councilor, Henry Clarke.
