Throne speech: Government says it’s open to ‘new ideas’ like national dental care strategy

When delivering the speech from the throne in Ottawa on Thursday on behalf of the federal government, Gov. Gen. Julie Payette seemingly aknowledged the minority status of the incoming Liberal government in her remarks when she said the election results showed the government should be “open to new ideas” like a national dentalcare strategy, a key campaign plank of the NDP.
