Demolition of malt building underway despite heritage designation proposal

Demolition crews have started tearing down the former United Canadian malt building in Peterborough to make room for what’s believed to be high-end apartments.
It’s happening despite the fact a heritage designation is in the works to protect the old factory on Lansdowne Street.
