Hong Kong gears up for district council election

Hong Kong politicians and residents geared up on Saturday for district council elections amid months of social unrest. Although usually focused on local community issues, some are viewing Sunday’s election as a timely referendum. With young pro-democracy activists now running in some of the seats that were once uncontested and dominated by pro-Beijing candidates.
