On day five of the impeachment hearings of U.S. President Donald Trump, David Holmes, counselor for political affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, told a congressional committee that he was “deeply disappointed” when he learned that U.S. President Donald Trump had raised “none” of the formal diplomatic talking points during his congratulatory phone call with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, but instead talked about Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.
