Manny Atwal, president and CEO of Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries, said on Nov. 20 that a “secure entrance” at the Tyndall Park Liquor Mart will be built and will be the first one in Manitoba for a liquor mart. He said the announcement was supposed to take place next week, but in light of the assaults and injuries of three workers at the store that took place earlier in the day, the announcement was accelerated.
