An out-of-control bushfire burning in the Northern Rivers district of New South Wales, Australia flared up to “emergency” level on Nov. 19, the New South Wales Rural Fire Service said. The blaze, which had been burning for weeks at Myall Creek Road in Bora Ridge, has been threatening properties in the Bungawalbin, New Italy, The Gap and Whiporie areas.
