Kurt Volker, Trump’s former special envoy to Ukraine, said on Nov. 19 during the third day of the congressional impeachment hearings during part of his opening statement that his focus during his former role was to advance foreign policy and U.S. national security interests by pushing back on “Russian aggression,” and supporting the development of a “strong” and “prosperous” Ukraine.
