Hong Kong police clash with protesters as violence surges near Polytechnic University

Hong Kong riot police faced off against anti-government protesters near Polytechnic University in the Tsim Sha Tsui District of Hong Kong on Monday as the besieged campus burned through the night. Anti-government demonstrators used petrol bombs, started fires and set up barricades while police retaliated with tear gas and made dozens of arrests.
