Tima Kurdi on Syria and sanctions

For Coquitlam resident Tima Kurdi, a global refugee crisis became a personal tragedy when her two nephews and sister-in-law drowned off a Turkish beach in 2015. The image of her 2- year-old nephew Alan Kurdi lifeless on a beach brought international attention to the refugee crisis in Syria and sparked change.
