U.S. Senate majority and minority leaders, Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer respectively, weighed in on the first public impeachment hearing Wednesday. McConnell questioned why the House of Representatives couldn’t get things like USMCA done while a committee was conducting its hearing, while Schumer said the hearing showed “exactly” why the inquiry should continue.
