For viewers in Peterborough and nearby counties, looking ‘up’ will not be enough to catch the rare Transit of Mercury in the sky.
Even though the transit takes place during the day, several factors need to be in place to catch the phenomenon: Eye-protecting filters, super-powered telescopes, and knowing where to look.
