Buddhist extremist views on the rise

Buddhism is a faith that conjures up images of peaceful, serene meditation but increasingly, it’s becoming synonymous with violence and hatred in some parts of the world. In countries like Myanmar and Sri Lanka, social media is fueling Buddhist nationalist hate towards other minorities and that’s meant violent beatings, fire bombings and forced migrations that have led to tensions in the region.
