A Woodbridge, Ontario mother spoke with Global News about learning the diagnosis of Batten disease in her daughter, saying her doctor described it as like “ALS, MS and dementia all in one”, and tearfully said it made her feel like “throwing up and passing out at the same time.” She said her doctor also said she and her husband need to be prepared her son may have it as well.
