Since launching in 2016, video-sharing app TikTok has surged in popularity among teenagers around the world with over a billion downloads. But as Jeff Semple explains, the app is now under scrutiny by U.S. lawmakers for possible security threats in its user data collection methods, as well as possibly sharing that information with the Chinese government.
