Two people were injured and a dog went missing following a head-on collision between Cobourg and Port Hope this morning.
The collision between a pickup truck and a SUVv happened around 9:30 a.m. along County Road 2 between Theatre and Augustine roads.
Both drivers were transported to Northumberland Hills Hospital and one was subsequently airlifted to a toronto-area hospital with serious injuries.
Northumberland OPP said initially a dog in one of the vehicles was missing but was later located.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
