Bloc Quebecois Leader Yves-Francois Blanchet apologized on Thursday after reports that a number of alleged Islamophobic and racist social media posts had been made by at least four candidates running for the party, saying he had accepted the apologies made by those candidates to constituents in their ridings. He also personally apologized for the “mistakes” of some members of his party “who speak for us.”
