A man was airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre after a motorcycle and a backhoe collided along County Road 28 in the Municipality of Port Hope on Wednesday night.
The collision occurred around 7:15 p.m. along Ganrakasa Road near County Road 28. Witnesses say the eastbound motorcycle rear-ended the backhoe.
The road was closed until 4 a.m. as OPP investigated. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
